In 2023, I played a key role in designing and refining Soundscape, a productivity-focused app developed under the Ministry of Programming.
My contributions spanned multiple areas, including UX enhancements, visual asset design, and the creation of a gamification system to boost user retention. I worked closely with the team to research, design, and validate core features, ensuring a seamless and engaging user experience.
Additionally, I helped develop and maintain the app’s design system, ensuring visual consistency and scalability as Soundscape evolved into a polished, user-centric product.
CHALLENGES & PAIN POINTS
The Struggles of Staying Focused During Study Sessions
Before redesigning the platform, I took stock of all existing research, including heuristics evaluations, prior user interviews, and predefined personas to understand the current state of the product.
This existing data provided a strong foundation, but it wasn’t sufficient to guide a full redesign.I analyzed and synthesized this information into structured insights, revealing patterns across workflows, pain points, and system-wide inefficiencies.
From this process, Lena emerged, a campaign manager balancing multiple music campaigns, whose experiences reflected the common challenges faced by many users.

Overwhelming Noise
Sarah finds it hard to concentrate due to constant distractions from surrounding chatter and background noise in the library.
Sustaining Focus for long periods
Keeping focus during extended study sessions is challenging, leading to dips in concentration and productivity.
Lack of personalization
